Q how do i get a book publeshed?

i have ritten a briliant childrans book all abowt a boy who is studeing to becum a wizard. he has an owl and its lots of fun. . so far i hav rote 100 pages, () hope to comleat the other 200 p+ges by the end of nect weak But how do i get it pulbeleshed??? do i nead an agent??? do i get payed imedeately or do i need to weight?? (i nead the monny!!!} HELP ME PLEESE!

If you really want to learn about pubishing, take a look at a copy of "Writer's Market" and while you are at the library, look for "The Elements of Style" by Strunk and White. Unfortunately, to make money writing you really will need to be able to spell the majority of your words corectly!

* first of all, since you can't spell (and that would be an embarassment on you and injure the children) I suggest you do like any other business person who wants to start a business and do your 5-year business plan. It takes 3 months to do that, you'll find how to do that on sba.gov. And then take some of the Small Business Association's business courses (they don't cost a lot and are just a few hours each). Once you know what your expenses will be and have figured the cost of all of them, you can start your business, take your business plan to a company or bank who will lend you money and after you get the loan (usually they determine how much you can get from how much you have paid against your home and what assets you have and they use those as collateral). So you get that money and then you hire an agent to set up your book correctly and fix the errors, and then it can be published. You'd probably have to have bare minimum 1000 copies made the first time. Then you can do your advertising (be sure to allow for that in your plan, you need money for that).. You'd be advertising in the newspapers, on the radio, on tv, and thru many bookstores and doing a lot of traveling so you have to figure how much each one of those costs you and have the money available to pay those places, plus gas for your car. Making money from a book does not come automatically just because you put a book out into the public. Let's say you want your book to be 300 pages, you'd figure that was 150 two-sided pages.plus title page, index page, plus pages left blank for new chapters...so if you wanted 300 pages then you'd have to write 600 pages and then whittle down your best work to just 300 pages. If you need the money NOW then I suggest you get a job because it would be a few years before you get your project on it's feet. And, you can't count on immediate money..
